Easter Recap

I still can not get over what happened at Strong Tower this weekend!!  It was truly amazing!  Here are some of the highlights......

• 45 people prayed and received JESUS as their savior!!!

      Every number has a name and every name has a story

      and every story matters to God!!  We celebrate that they 

      went from death to LIFE!!  This is why we do what we 

      do!!

• 1,814 people came and celebrated Easter!!  I am thankful  that we embrace that SAVED people SERVE people!!  We would NOT be the church that we are without our VOLUNTEERS!!  You guys went above and beyond this weekend!   

• 16 people took their next step and went public with their faith through baptism!!  It was AWESOME!!  

• 330 Kids attended KidStrong!!  I love that I had the opportunity to talk to some of the parents and they said their kids LOVED it!!  Way to go KidStrong crew..... you guys knocked it out of the park this weekend!!

• We had a record of FIRST time guest cards turned in...... we are still COUNTING!

5 Things I want everyone at Strong Tower to do this week

1.  Take some time every day this week to pray for our services this Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

We have worked hard and prepared for months for this weekend...But God must MOVE to make life change happen!  Let's take some time this week to BEG HIM to move in and be THE DIFFERENCE in our services....let's live out Isaiah 62:6-7 and literally not leave Him alone all week long!!

2.  Make yourself available this week by praying every day, "God, here I am, take me and use me to invite people to church and/or share my story today!"

3.  Do whatever it takes to get people to church this Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

I know that it can be discouraging to keep inviting people and then you are told "no," don't give up....they may need just ONE MORE invite.  Let's live out 2 Peter 3:9 to those who so desperately NEED HIM!!

4.  Pray for our volunteers!

We are blessed with the BEST volunteers on the planet!!  They have embraced the fact that saved people serve people!  They are truly living out Matthew 20:28 So lift these folks up as they eagerly anticipate the opportunity to serve others this weekend!

5.  Get to church a little earlier this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We are expecting record attendance....so whatever time you would normally get to church....try for about 10 minutes earlier. 

Like I said earlier.....I can't wait to see what JESUS does this weekend! I LOVE our church....and I love the way that you respond each time this challenge is issued!!

Let's do ALL we can to reach ALL we can and then place it ALL in HIS HANDS!!

Saved People Serve People

        This past Sunday we covered the story of the Good Samaritan…who was the one in the story that not only SAW the opportunity but he did SOMETHING about it.  Luke 10:25-37

◦   The guy in the story who was "attacked by bandits" is like so many of our friends and family members who do not know Jesus.  They walked down the wrong road and had the mess beat out of them and they don’t really need a song or a sermon but for someone to come along, pick them up and take them to a place where they can heal!  (THE CHURCH!)

◦   Because we have an enemy named Satan whose purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10  but Jesus purpose is to give us a rich and satisfying life! 

◦   We can't just walk by on the other side of the road any longer! We have been called, empowered, equipped and expected by God to get off of the bench and into the Game!

◦   Jesus said in Matthew 20:28 that he did not come to be served but to SERVE.

◦   He’s not looking for "experts" but rather ordinary people who allow Him to do the extraordinary through them!  Acts 4:13

◦   We can’t say we’re following Jesus if we are not willing to get our hands dirty because…HE GOT HIS HANDS DIRTY when it came to reaching us!

◦   If we are going to be a follower of Jesus Christ then we must respond as Jesus leads…and He does not lead us to sit but rather serve!!!

◦   We’re not trying to raise an audience at Strong Tower…we want a church who believes that God can still do the “impossible,” ...and we live out Isaiah 62:6-7 by begging Him for it!

◦   We are PRAYING and BELIEVING that we will see over 50 SALVATIONS this Easter season! Lets wear Gods ear out CHURCH!

◦   I am so THANKFUL for the hundreds of volunteers that do what they do every week at Strong Tower to make it happen! You guys are AMAZING! 

Also the mailer invite should be hitting our communities this week, so take the opportunity to invite those that we do life with to 1 of our 6 Easter Services.

When we are MOVED by COMPASSION, we can not help but be CALLED into ACTION! Thats the story of the good Samaritan and that is the story of Strong Tower Church! 

Strong Tower Church..... I love my church..... I am so thankful that I get to do life with you all! Now lets go REACH our communities!!!

Found People Find People

Strong Tower, I am pumped that we are 3 WEEKS away from EASTER! We are praying for each NAME that the church wrote down and asking God to give us the opportunity to share Jesus with and/or invite to church for one of our EASTER services. (You can go HERE for service times and to get your FREE Easter tickets!) I'm praying that we, as a church, will own the fact that FOUND people FIND people and will do all we can to make sure that EVERYONE we know knows about Jesus! We exist to share the love of Jesus with everyone so that everyone can fall in love with him!

• This week I would love to challenge you to read Mark 2:1-12 each day. Remember each relationship that we have in our lives is not by accident. Relationships are intentional, NOT accidental. And every single relationship we have is for the purpose of sharing Jesus! 

• The #H&H Initiative is all about this. These four guys brought their friend who was in a hopeless condition to where Jesus was. They believed that if they could just get their friend to Jesus, he could be healed. It took work and determination for these guys to get their friend to Jesus. May we have this same mind set when it comes to our relationships in life.  2 Timothy 4:5 

• EVERY weekend we should say, "We've never seen anything like this before!" Mark 2:12 God desires to change lives. And He gives us the amazing task of reconciling people to him. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

• We are praying and believing that we will see at least 50 SALVATIONS this EASTER! I want us as a church to pray daily for each NAME that we wrote down on our FOUND People FIND People card Sunday. Let's believe that God can and will do exceedingly above our expectations because HE can! Ephesians 3:20 

• Lets also pray for one another. I know that it isn't easy sharing your story of how you met Jesus. But remember we are just a beggar who found the bread, and we want to tell other beggars where to find it! That's evangelism! You can do it!!! 

• Jesus said, "I will make you fishers of men." As we become more familiar with him, we become more comfortable talking about him. As we begin to talk about him to our friends and family members, they actually want what we are talking about because we are talking about him so convincingly. 

• If we do this I believe we are going to see something amazing in our church and communities that will not just affect us for a month but for the next 10, 20, and 30 years! 

Set our Sights on Easter Weekend

Strong Tower.........We are 10 DAYS away from EASTER WEEKEND! It is approaching quickly! Hopefully you already have your tickets to attend 1 of our 5 Easter services. If not,  you can go to www.strongtowerchurch.com to reserve your tickets for you and your family.

 This past weekend we looked at a guy named Nehemiah who was bothered, broken and moved by pure passion to do something about the current condition of his people in Jerusalem.

Nehemiah asked some of men who had come to visit him how things were in Jerusalem. They said that things were not going well. In fact  they were in great trouble. The walls of Jerusalem had been torn down and the gates have been destroyed by fire.

When Nehemiah heard their response he sat down and began to wept. For days he mourned, fasted and prayed to the God of heaven.

TODAY...I know that we don't have city walls and gates BUT we do have subdivisions, apartment complexes and trailer parks that are in great trouble!  LISTEN.....We ALL have a common enemy. His name is satan. 

Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief''s purpose is to STEAL and KILL and DESTROY." 

There are a lot of people who are doing life without Jesus! Some of those people are your family and my family, your neighbors and my neighbors, your friends and my friends. 

Satan has come against them to make them feel like they don't have hope or a future. Maybe they feel unloved or unvalued. Maybe they feel like there is no way that God could love them because of their past.   

I am so thankful for the rest of John 10:10, Jesus said,"MY PURPOSE is to GIVE them a RICH and SATISFYING LIFE."

Jesus is offering us a life of purpose, value and meaning! He is offering total forgiveness! There are so many people who are trying to find this in their lives. We the CHURCH should be radical rescuers because we have been rescued radically by JESUS! 

Did you know that 8 out of 10 people will say, "YES" if they are PERSONALLY INVITED to church. This week we are sending out 20,000 direct mailers to Sumner, Macon and Allen counties. Some of these folks are your family and my family, your neighbors and my neighbors, your friends and my friends who will be receiving them.

Let's reach out to those that we directly influence like never before! Invite them to attend 1 of our 5 Easter services either on Saturday March 30th at 4:00pm or 6:00pm or Sunday March 31st at 8:30, 10:00 or 11:30am.

I believe that people are just ONE INVITE away from changing their ETERNITY!
